Why have a separate wiki for the original game vs the second?[]
There are a number of reasons, but here are the main points.
- The original game is functionally different from the new update. It would likely be very difficult to understand pages split into information about one version vs another when there is such a difference in mechanics, appearance, and functions. There is no established lore for the game, so that makes it even more of a challenge.
- Interstellar Pilot 2 is a different game on the appstore, and as such is separate from the original. It is not an update.
- The wiki for the 1.6.2 version is very cluttered and, to put it mildly, somewhat stale. The comment sections are old enough that they have a somewhat grave-like feel to them. Cleaning the wiki has become a full-time project, and will not be finished before the end of the year, never mind for the new game. Finally, due to some user friction, a new wiki is preferred for the new game, especially considering past events and the possibility of further issues arising. That being said, discussion about the previous game is quite welcome in the appropriate threads. Thank you for your time and for reading this notice, and please enjoy your time on the wiki!
