Ranger-Class Scout
The ranger is the cheapest and generally most accessible ship in the game. While it has a front and a back weapons bay, attempting to dogfight anyone in this vessel is rather trivial. It has a paper-thin hull, and a well-placed laser can obliterate it in one shot. Due to the Ranger's high speed and decent turn rate, its best use falls under a cheap scout . It has the ability to install a mining laser, but the ranger's small cargo space renders it terrible in that line of work.
The ranger has 2 engines positioned on the wings, with a rather tall fuselage holding its cockpit in its center. It has a small canard in front of the cockpit and a large frontal radiator.

The Ranger is one of the earliest mass-produced interstellar vessels. When introduced, it was a revolutionary and well-balanced vessel but has long been superseded by more capable models. The Ranger continues to be used mainly as a cheap scout.
